Composting Guide

Why Compost?

Composting turns kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich fertilizer that nourishes your garden naturally. It's eco-friendly, reduces landfill waste, and boosts plant health.

Getting Started

  • Choose a bin or open-pile method
  • Layer greens (kitchen scraps) and browns (leaves, cardboard)
  • Keep it moist but not soggy
  • Turn regularly to add oxygen

Troubleshooting

Smelly compost? Add more browns and turn it.
Too dry? Add water or fresh greens.
Too wet? Add shredded paper or dry leaves.
